Södra Norrland Pike Open 2023
Rules (
Södra Norrland Pike Open 2023
)Rules
● 2-3 participants per team.
● We count the total length of the 5 longest pikes in each team, minimum size 75cm.
● All teams must be registered on fishy.nu. All catch reporting will be handled via this website/app.
● Only reel fishing, spinning fishing, jerk fishing and fly fishing are allowed. NO vertical, trolling, etc.
● So-called live donors are not allowed during the competition day.
● Results are based on length in cm and documentation is done by photographing against a measuring board. Centimeters started are rounded down. The measuring board must be placed flat and horizontal and the tail fin may be adjusted carefully with a finger but not pressed together as the fish may be damaged. The fish must be placed carefully on the measuring board and the fish must not be pulled in its lengthwise direction. The fish may be held with one or, if necessary, two hands while the measurement and documentation are taking place; one hand may not be kept on the tail coil (resulting in a 2 cm deduction). When photographing, it must be clearly visible that the nose is against the edge (otherwise a 2 cm deduction is given) and that the length can be clearly determined.
● As this is a C&R competition, the fish should be handled carefully and released as quickly as possible.
BE CAREFUL WHEN MEASURING AND PHOTOGRAPHING!
● A fish may be counted once. If the same fish is caught twice, it may only be counted the first time.
● In the event of a tie, we will go for the team's longest fish.
● Fish in any water. A valid fishing license is required and the respective FvO rules must be followed.
● It is prohibited to fish in private waters, everyone should have the same conditions*.
● All team members must fish in the same boat. This means you cannot split up and go between them with the measuring board.
● All competitors must wear a life jacket, flotation suit, buoyancy aid or other buoyancy aid at all times from the time the boat leaves port until it returns to port. Applicable sea rules and speed regulations must always be followed.
● MAX 60 teams + organizer and any sponsor teams.
