Registration for the Archipelago Drill in Valdemarsvik is now open! On October 18, village history will be written when the brand new competition, the Archipelago Drill, premieres in Valdemarsvik. The competition, which is run by the non-profit association of the same name, is a competition for anglers, by anglers.
The challenge is to catch the five longest perch. The ambition is to establish an annual highlight in the calendar for all fishing enthusiasts.
– Our vision is to create an annual, professionally arranged competition where community and love for sport fishing are at the center, says Jonny Södling, chairman and spokesperson for the competition.
Skärgårdsborren is keen to promote children and young people's interest in fishing, which is why we have two classes: Up to and including 15 years of age and senior.
– We can therefore truly extend a warm welcome to all interested anglers to participate and write their name in the history books at this world premiere in Valdemarsvik, concludes Jonny.
Angler Jonny, who is also a fishing inspector in the Valdemarsvik archipelago, is one of five people working in the Skärgårdsborrens association's project group. The others are anglers Nicklas Aronsson, Magnus Lind, Peter Moen and Anders Nilzen, as well as project manager Pether Skoglund. Read more and register your team at skärgårdsborren.se
