Nedre Glomma Gjeddefestival 2023 - Skjeberg JFF Junior

Rules (

Nedre Glomma Gjeddefestival 2023 - Skjeberg JFF Junior

)

All participants must physically arrive at Furuholmen NO LATER than 08:30 on Saturday, September 2nd to receive mandatory information and meeting with the skipper.
Anyone fishing with modern aids such as Livescope, Mega Live or Active target MUST tick this when registering, and the team will be deducted a total of 10 cm in the team competition to ensure as fair a competition as possible. (There is no deduction for the individual competition where only the longest pike counts)
It is not permitted to have this type of aid available on board the boat unless you have ticked the box for this on the entry form. If you are not going to use a scope during the competition, it must be physically removed from the boat BEFORE the competition begins.
All catches MUST be registered using the Fishy app and the assigned registration code you received when you registered with Fishy in order to be approved.
This is a pure C&R competition so all pike will be released back into the water after they have been photographed and registered in the Fishy app.
Fishing is permitted with up to 6 rods per stretcher.
Fishing with methods other than a fishing rod is not permitted.
Fishing methods that are not approved in Norway are not allowed (live bait, pike scissors, etc.)
Auxiliary equipment such as Paravan, deep-diving rigs and echo sounders are permitted, but everyone must act carefully and not "block" the water with equipment that extends far out from the boat and is a nuisance to other participants.
When fishing from shore, only 3 rods per person are allowed.
The fishing competition stretches from Vamma (Askim) to Opsundtangen (Sarpsborg).

NOTE: Due to very high water flow this year, we may have to restrict the area somewhat for safety reasons.

Boat departures begin after information is distributed at Furuholmen at 09:30 and boats must arrive no later than 14:30 on Sunday.
All pike must be released immediately after measurement and photography. Pike that are not released will not be counted in the competition.
In the event of a tie in the competitions, the length of the next fish will determine who wins.

NOTE: Boats without approved flotation devices for everyone on board will be denied entry into the competition.
