Saturday, October 26th, it's time for the annual competition 08 ABBORREN.

This year with a DM status, i.e. 20% gets a place in the 2025 Swedish Championship which will likely be decided in Grisslehamn but no contract has been finalized yet.

In addition, it is an open KAYAK class, we call the competition the 08-perch kayak.

Registration is made to Fishy.nu

A highly regarded competition app that is often used at major competitions.

Deadline for registration is Wednesday, October 23, at 12:00.

No late registration.

DEPOSIT BOAT CLASS:

Starting fee 1000:- per Team is paid upon registration to Fishy.nu.

Registration with Team name and membership number Sportfishers

Fred's pulled pork burger is of course included in the fee.

Applies to both boat class and kayak class.

CONTEST INFORMATION:

The start and finish line are at Tranebergs boat club.

Secretariat before and after the competition at the boat club, during the competition at the Sportfiskarna premises.

Open ramps are located in Äppelviken (Klövervägen) and at Kanaanbadet/Råcksta. Marked on the map with numbers 2 and 3.

Registration and collection of start cards and measuring board 07:00-07:30.

Captain's meeting 07:40.

Joint start at a leisurely pace (max 5 knots) 07.50.

Competition time 08:00-15:00.

Competition time Kayak 08.05-1500.

Current speed limits and sea rules apply.

During the race, respect each other and keep a ”casting distance” to the next boat, i.e. about 25 meters.

A life jacket or other buoyancy garment must be worn at all times during the competition.

A dry suit is recommended in the kayak class.

Only fishing with artificial lures is allowed.

Fish on the measuring board should be photographed so that the length of the fish is clearly visible.

Head towards 0 cm, tail fin must NOT be squeezed together easily for length recording.

Part of cm is rounded down.

Minimum dimensions 30 cm boat. Minimum dimensions 25 cm Kayak!

Reporting via the Fishy app no later than 15 minutes after catch.

You submit the image with the comment, e.g. 35 cm, the secretariat sends OK or an adjusted length.

Live scores will be reported, last report at 1:00 PM.

Submitted images received after 3:00 PM will not be counted.

The latest time for a protest must be in writing and submitted to the jury no later than 3:45 p.m.

AFTER THE COMPETITION:

Deadline for submitting scorecards and scoreboards 3:30 p.m.

The award ceremony will be held as soon as we have the results in order.

Food and drinks from are included in the entry fee. FREDS pulled pork burger with drink.

Full results will be presented on the Sportfiskarna website under the results tab.
