Pike & Perch Challenge 2025

Rules (

Pike & Perch Challenge 2025

)

The code. 2626 on the measuring board.

Hello everyone!

After a successful competition (Pike in the North) in the fall of 2024 with 27 teams in the starting field, we are now running again with some new thinking with 2 species and length calculations as below, which will suit more and current weather conditions and water.

In 2024, Team Piraya Eddie Zetterlund, Erik Nilsson, Malin Ludvigsson won at 556cm Second came Team Titan Johan Noren at 538cm and third came Team Skitdålig Mattias Nordgren, Andreas Vestman, Julia Brodén at 523cm. The longest pike was won by Eddie Zetterlund at 123cm. at the last minute, where they overtook Team Titan.

The winnings in cash and sponsorship amounted to approximately SEK 20,000.

Now we are focusing on a competition in All of Sweden and 2 species in the same competition and the same results reporting, choose how many of which species you want to fish. The 10 longest will end up in your top 10. Ex. 3 perch 7 pikes.

From Friday, September 26th at 4:00 PM to Sunday, September 28th at 4:00 PM, 48 hours of autumn fishing where you choose how you want to mix your fishing based on your conditions at that time.

Read the rules carefully!!!!

Team competition 1-3 people / boat.

Kayaks/float rings 1-3 people a team within the same fishing area.

Land fishing 1-3 people within the same fishing area.

Fishing methods, spinning fishing, fly fishing, handheld trolling (one active rod per participant), vertical fishing, live bait allowed.

Artificial baits only.

Before the start, we will send out a number/competition code via text message that will be included in the measurement photo (will also be posted on the fishy app on Friday.

The competition area is all of Sweden.

You are allowed to fish in waters where either a permit, fishing right or fishing license is available.

Fishing without a fishing license or in illegal waters results in disqualification.

Own measuring board must be used.

Posing photo if a person is just fishing, it is perfectly okay to take a photo of your face next to the pike/perch when it is on the measuring board. The measurement of the photo is most important for approval.

Reporting will take place via the Fishy App.
Several tackled rods may be in the boat. only one active rod per participant.

All competitors SHOULD wear a life jacket, buoyancy suit, buoyancy vest or other buoyancy garment from
the boat leaves port until the boat is back in port.

You measure your 10 longest!!! pikes/perches.

Choose how many of each species you want to fish. The 10 longest, regardless of species, will be in your top 10.

Minimum dimensions:

Pike 75cm.

Perch 30cm

Points calculation.

To be able to fish 2 species at the same time, where you choose how many of each, we have decided after research that perch is worth 2.5 and a pike 1. Not exactly, but to make it work in the app, 2.5 is now valid in this competition. Equal for everyone, choose the species for the best result.

So for example 50cm burbot x 2.5=125cm and pike 125cm, so same result.

But in the Fishy app, for this to work (because decimal cannot be used) we must use integers, which is as follows in the same example as above.

Perch 50cm x 5=250cm

Pike 125cm x 2=250cm

This is how the app will work when you see the results during the competition, where your placement is reported.

ATTENTION!!!!!!@

You enter the real/actual measurement in cm!!! The app will do the conversion.

Choose how many of each species you want to fish. The 10 longest will end up in your top 10.

Calculate inversely with divided if you want to know how long the fish must be to take a position.

(e.g. perch 250cm/5=50cm, e.g. pike 250cm/2=125cm)

When you have received a full paper, you only report in when there is an increase.
Commenced centimeters are rounded down.

The sent 4-digit number should be visible on the measurement image!!

The measuring board should be placed flat and horizontal and the tail fin may be adjusted carefully to the best of your ability. The fish may be held with one or, if necessary, two hands while the measurement and documentation are being made.
When photographing, it must be clearly visible that the nose is against the edge (otherwise a 2 cm deduction is given) and that the length can be clearly determined.
If the total length is the same, the longest fish decides, at the earliest entry.

The pictures are for guidance only!! The red line can be a different color or just the ruler measurements and it must not be covered.
