Öresund Open is an exciting sea fishing competition for small boat teams with 2–4 participants, which will be decided in Öresund on October 17–18. The competition is organized by Kungsbacka Sport Fishing Club and departs from the beautiful harbor of Raw, with nearby accommodation and perfect conditions for both fishing and community.

The goal for each team is to capture five different species: plaice, flounder, sand dace, haddock and red mullet. The team that manages to collect it longest total length of these five species are chosen as winners of the Öresund Open.

The competition is managed via Fishy and is updated in real time, allowing you to follow all teams minute by minute and see how the overall standings change during the competition.

Öresund Open is open to participants from all Nordic countries, and we hope for a real national fight – not least between Swedish and Danish teams in the classic rivalry of the strait. The 2025 competition was won by a Swedish team – 1–0 to Sweden.

In addition to fishing, we place great emphasis on community on land.With a well-organized fleet in Råå harbor, experiences and tips are shared, and with shared accommodation at Sundsgården's hotel and conference there are all the conditions for a really successful weekend. In the harbor we also plan to book a dinner together on Saturday evening, where participants can socialize, talk fishing and enjoy the weekend together.
