Autumn is here – and Fishy Live continues forward

The competition season isn't quite over yet, but autumn is a good opportunity to sum up what has happened at Fishy Live and what lies ahead.

Fishy Live is growing rapidly. Compared to the same period last year, the number of competitions has more than doubled, bookings have increased by almost 40 % and catch reports by just over 50 %.

New partner in Norway

Fiskeavisen, through Frimedia, is now our official partner and country operator in Norway. Norwegian organizers receive local support, prices in NOK, payment via VIPPS and a complete Norwegian version of the platform.

The competition can now be broadcast live

Selected competitions can now be broadcast automatically on YouTube with leaderboard, catches and real-time statistics. It is a pure results broadcast – no cameras at the water and no filming of the participants. The broadcast will also be shown on the competition website and participants will receive a link to share with family and friends.

Competition maps directly in Fishy

Organizers can now draw fishing areas, zones and points of interest directly in the admin. The map is published on the competition page and can also be embedded on the club's own website. Maps can be saved, copied and printed along with coordinates and QR codes.

More prepared participants and officials

The evening before the competition, all participants receive practical information about the start, location, teams, rules and app. The organizer can also see which teams have logged in and which are registered as present.

Judging has also moved to mobile, allowing judges to easily review catches and photos right on the water.

Better results and leaderboards

Multi-species competitions can now have separate leaderboards for the largest fish per species. At the same time, the results pages have become significantly faster and the platform has been strengthened to handle many simultaneous visitors during the competition day.

Admin in Swedish and Norwegian

The entire admin panel is now available in Swedish and Norwegian, including menus, help texts and user guides. Emails are also sent in the recipient's language. A dark mode is also available for late nights in front of the admin panel.

We build so that organizers can trust Fishy

There are many new solutions coming for fishing competitions, but our focus remains the same: a stable and reliable system when the competition is actually underway.

We test new features against real competitions before they are released and are constantly working on security, GDPR and reliability. Fishy Live is also completely ad-free – so participants can focus on the fishing and the competition.

We have a lot left on the list for next season and look forward to continuing to develop Fishy Live together with you.
