Main sponsor IFISH BIOS in collaboration with the pike research project Pic a Pike!
● Pike team competition, 1-3 people per team!
● Fee 200 SEK per team!
● Fish wherever you want throughout Sweden
● Catch and release.
● Minimum dimensions 90 cm.
● The five longest pikes are counted
● The team must fish together, i.e. may not be on or report from different waters on the same day
● The team must not be fully qualified on every fishing trip
● Competition time Dec 1- Apr 30
● Approved gear: rod and reel (not fishing gear)
● Max. 8 rods per person in the team
● Fish caught at temperatures below -10 Celsius must not be registered (gentlemen's agreement)
● The pike is measured LYING FLAT, not hanging at an angle, on carpet (important: pikes lying on snow or ice will be rejected) with separate measuring tool with "stop" NOTE: carpets' own Dimensional decals are NOT approved.. It should be clear that the fish's lip is against the stop!
● The fish should lie with its head to the left and its belly down (for the research project)!
● FThe ice and the fish's eyes must be moistened at sub-zero temperatures during measurement.
● If there are any uncertainties regarding registered fish, they may be deducted in cm or rejected completely!
● Recaptures may not reported. An individual can only register once!
● Notification should be made as soon as possible and must be made no later than one week after capture
● Think about safety! Do not go out on the ice without ice studs, safety lines and some form of flotation suit/vest/dry suit!
● NOTE changes or additions in the rules can take place while the competition is ongoing if the competition management (Fishy Tech) believes that this must happen!
All competitors are at their own risk, the organizer assumes that all competitors follow legislation and local fishing rules and obtain the necessary permits and fishing licenses! Any winnings tax is paid by the winner!

- Fish are scored based on length in centimeters.
