Rules / Info
Date and time:
Norrlandsgäddan 1 June 5th 2021, competition time 08-17

The competition area is what is geographically called Norrland including Dalarna which we southerners count as Norrland (see picture below if it is unclear)
Any water as long as you follow Swedish legislation.

Your own measuring board is used, this must be approved by the competition management before the start of the competition.
This is done by emailing a picture with a tape measure/folding ruler showing that the board has the correct dimensions.
Emailed to norrlandsgaddan@nullgmail.com the day before the competition, and this measuring board will then be used at the competition.

Reporting will take place via the Fishy App and positioning will be activated, but the competition management will only see which water you are fishing in, not your position.
So you won't have to give away your hotspots.
This is to be able to keep track of fishing outside Norrland or in illegal waters.

Only Spinning and fly fishing allowed with one active rod per person.
Several tackled rods may be in the boat.

Minimum dimensions:
Pike 75cm
You measure your 5 longest pikes.
Once you have received all the paperwork, you only report when there is an increase.

The initial centimeter is rounded down.
The measuring board should be placed flat and horizontal and the tail fin may be adjusted carefully with a finger but not pressed together as the fish may be damaged. The fish should be placed carefully on the measuring board and the fish must not be pulled lengthwise.
The fish may be held with one or, if necessary, two hands while the measurement and documentation are being made, one hand may not be held on the tail coil (2 cm deduction). When photographing, it must be clearly visible that the nose is against the edge (otherwise a 2 cm deduction is given) and that the length can be clearly determined.
If the total length is the same, the longest fish will decide.

Prizes from our sponsors will be awarded to Places 1-3 as well as prize money to the winners, where the number of entries will form the basis for the amount (at least 30 teams for a reasonable amount).

With 50 registered teams, the prize money is: 10,000 SEK
With 100 registered teams, the prize money is 20,000 SEK.

Reports will be posted on the Facebook page every hour during the competition with results for the last 3 hours being blacked out.
