Laxsjöns Sportfiskare & Melleruds Trollingklubb warmly welcome all participants to Sunnanå. 

This competition is a replacement for the postponed competition that was supposed to be in Åmål in November 2025.

The teams that were registered for Åmål Trophy / SM Trolling 2025 have a free start for this competition! If you wish to replace a participant, please contact us according to the information below.

_{TEAM COMPOSITION:}

Åmål Trophy- 12-hour is a team competition where each team must consist of at least two participants.

_{CAPTAIN'S MEETING:}

Time: 06:30 
Location: Stone Warehouse (Sunnanå)

_{FISHING TIMES:}

• Saturday: 07:00 - 19:00

The end time is when you pass the inner pier. If you have fish to weigh in and arrive after the end time, that day's catch will not be counted towards the result. 

Starting badges are handed out from 06:00 (in connection with the captain's meeting. The start takes place together out on the water!

_FISHING:

Trolling fishing on Lake Vänern is permitted on public waters, 300 meters from land / islands larger than 100 meters. Planerboards must be marked with a flag. Participation is at your own risk.

_{WEIGHING IN:}

• Saturday: From 19:00

The minimum size for salmon and trout is 62 cm. The fish is measured without the tail fin folded. Only fish without an adipose fin may be caught. Each team may weigh in a maximum of six fish per day. The fish must be left at the finish pier in a plastic bag, sealed with a cable tie and a starting tag.

_{RESULTS CALCULATION:}

The winner is the team that collects the most points by catching salmon and trout during the competition weekend. A maximum of six fish per team may be weighed in. Points are calculated as follows:

• 2,000 points per fish
• 1,000 points per kilo

_AWARDS:

The awards ceremony takes place after the competition has concluded.

_SECURITY:

A life jacket, buoyancy jacket or buoyancy suit is mandatory for all participants. Be aware of the fishermen's nets and remember the starboard rule when meeting on the lake.

_RADIO:

VHF radio is a requirement for participation. Traffic will be on channel 72. Handheld VHF radio is acceptable.

_{IN BAD WEATHER:}

If the weather is unfavorable with wind speeds above 10 m/s or if the wind direction is dangerous, the competition may be canceled. The decision on any cancellation will be made by the competition management in the morning. If the weather forecast before the competition predicts dangerous conditions, the organizers may decide to cancel the competition.

Note: The registration fee is not refundable, but goes towards smolt release in Lake Vänern. The decision to cancel the entire competition will be announced on Thursday evening, April 30th, via Facebook and contact information from the registration.

_PARKING:

Parking for cars, trailers in designated areas

_{BOAT PLACES:}

If you would like a berth during the race, there are places available where moorings are occupied. We do not have harbour guards, so each participant is responsible for their own boat and equipment. It is recommended that boats be placed together on the piers to keep the race cohesive.

_FUEL:

Gasoline 98 (E5) and diesel are available for purchase at the marina during the competition. We recommend that you ensure that you have a fully fueled boat and spare cans, in case the marina is not in operation.

_{CLEANING FISH:}

Cleaning fish is not permitted within the port area.
