Invitation to the 2024 Pike Championship

 Laxsjöns Sportfiskare invites those who have qualified from the different districts of Sportfiskarna to come together 

with those who qualified via the Swedish Pike League and the medalists from 2023 to compete for this year's Swedish Championship in Pike 

which will be run on Lake Vänern on October 5, 2024.

Competition info

Lake: Lake Vänern

Start and finish: Sunnanå Port, Mellerud

Competition format: Teams of 2 or 3 participants

Date: 5th October 2024

Competition time: 08:00 – 16:00

Entry fee: 1,500 SEK per team

Captain's meeting: 07:45 outside Stenmagasinet Link

Deadline for registration: September 4th (after that date, the request will be forwarded to those on the waiting list)

Practice fishing: No practice fishing as a team or individually for those who will participate from September 23rd until the start of the competition on October 5th.

Team composition: Those who have qualified for the SM with two participants may bring in a third participant provided that this not attended 

in the qualification for the SM with another team. Those who have qualified for the SM with three participants may replace one of the participants provided that this 

not participated in the qualifiers for the Swedish Championship with another team

The ban on using live transmitters is a decision of Laxsjöns Sportfiskare. The reason is that Laxsjöns Sportfiskare wants the competition to be as fair as possible and our absolute opinion is that there is a clear majority regarding this decision. 

You who not can dismantle your live sensors will have these sealed and this is provided by the organizer. Boats with sealed live sensors must not break the seal themselves, this must be done by a competition official

Garmin: Lvs12, Lvs32, Lvs34 and Lvs62xr 

Humminbird: Megalive Imaging 

Lowrance: Active Target and Active Target 2

Other makes and models may be added and it is the responsibility of the competitors to stay informed about what applies.

Plan A for our SM in Sunnanå is that the competition will be held in Vänern. If the weather should prove unfavorable, we have a backup plan (Plan B) to hold the competition in the two connected lakes Östebosjön and Svanefjorden, which are located about 15 minutes north of Sunnanå. Ramp and guest harbor are available in Upperud.

The decision on the competition location will be made by the competition management on the evening of October 4th based on the latest weather forecasts. Safety always comes first and takes priority over fishing.

Training fishing:

To ensure fair conditions, no practice fishing, either as a team or individually, will be permitted for those participating in the Championship from September 23rd until the start of the competition on October 5th.
