SolvesborgInner Harbor

You can finish at another location. The start is always at the original location.

The starting token

Start badges are collected on the day of the competition and must be returned before the end of the competition day.

This is so that we know that everyone is safe in port. If it is not announced that you have arrived home you will be personally financially responsible if the sea rescue is cancelled. This is for your own safety.

The starting tag must be in the picture but does not have to be on the fish. If you are participating in both competitions, you can place both tags.

Just to make sure the fish is caught on competition day.

Skipper's meeting

The skipper's meeting is mandatory for at least one member of the team and all individual competitors before the start!

The measuring board

The measuring board is handed out in the morning on day 1 and is returned when fishing has ended on day 2. The measuring board is personal and a fee (800 SEK for the aluminum board) will be charged if it is lost.

Reporting

Reporting takes place in the Fishy Live App.

Publication

If a photo of the fish is to be used in other contexts, it must be clearly stated that it was caught in connection with Blekinge Pike Festival. The organizer has the right to use photos to promote the competition.

Fishing method

Individual

Only 1 fishing rod per participant. Any transfer of rods from non-competitors is prohibited. Boats, float rings and wading are permitted. Fishing with a driving motor is prohibited.

Team

Boat fishing with 2–3 people per boat. Only fishing from a boat is permitted. All team members must fish from the same boat throughout the competition. Only 1 fishing rod per participant. Fishing with a driving motor is prohibited.

All

Allowed fishing methods are spinning, reeling and fly fishing with artificial baits. Natural baits or trolling are not allowed. Use of drones is prohibited! Rod restrictions apply to all fishing methods. Spare rods may be brought.

BGF prefers that fishing with barbless hooks is used to protect the fish.

Angling is only allowed for juniors.

Competition class Individual

Everyone competes in the same class. The longest pike is the Pike King/Queen of the year. Competitors can only receive a prize for their largest fish. If the length is the same, the second fish decides. In the event of a tie, it is decided by drawing lots.

Competition class Team

The total length of the 5 longest that the team caught during the competition.

In the event of a tie, the competition will be decided in favor of the team with the longest pike. If the longest pike is the same length, the second longest pike will be used, etc. The last resort is a draw.

Catch limitation

The fish must reach a length of at least 75 cm to be counted in the competition.

Fish! Treat the fish with care!

Measurement: Length is rounded down to the nearest whole centimeter. No fingers behind the anal fin.

One recommendation is that all fish caught during the competition be carefully released to reduce stress on the pike population.

Security

Think about your safety equipment. You fish at your own risk!!! Fishermen are responsible for the seaworthiness of the boat in different weather conditions. Life jackets are recommended for all fishermen.

Award ceremony

All prices are retrieved personally. Unclaimed prizes can be collected from Mieådalens SFK one month after the end of the competition. After that, the prizes will go to Mieådalens SFK.

Raffle prizes require personal Pick-up on site. Otherwise, the prize will be drawn.

Profit tax

Any potential profit tax is paid by the participant themselves.

Protest

Any protests must be submitted to the competition management no later than 15 minutes after the end of the competition time.

Competition management may reject results or disqualify competitors.
