Rules:

One active rod per participant applies.

The minimum length for reporting fish is 25cm.

The total length of the five longest perch wins the Karlskrona Street Fishing Competition.

A prize for the longest perch caught will also be awarded.

Only spin fishing with artificial baits and fly fishing is permitted. Angling is therefore not permitted.

Fishing is not permitted in military areas.

We ask you to show respect for boats and bathers and fish at a reasonable distance from them.

This is a street fishing competition and you are not allowed to drive between fishing spots. Only to the start and finish.

The competition is 100% catch and release and the fish should be taken care of accordingly and treated with the greatest possible respect. Please help each other if you are fishing next to someone. Take out a measuring board while the fish is held in the water. Please wet the measuring board to avoid damaging the fish's mucous membrane. A net is recommended to be able to hold the fish in the water while preparing the photo.

Measuring: Each participant will be assigned a measuring board marked with a number at the start. This number should be visible on the measurement image. The measuring board must be handled with care and returned at the finish line in the same condition as it was picked up - complete and clean. A photo with your own mobile phone is acceptable.

We trust each other, but we require that you document two approved photos of the perch you intend to enter for the competition. A measurement photo and a posing photo are attached to each registration. The fish's mouth towards the stop/start on the measuring board. The tail fin must not be folded. Organizers have full rights to determine the length of the entered and documented perch. Make sure that the location function is activated on your phone!

Even though the competition is from land, buoyancy clothing is recommended.

The organizer is not responsible for any deaths, accidents or injuries. It is up to the competitor to take out their own insurance.

Competition time:

The first cast can go into the sea at 08:00.

At 1:30 PM, the live reporting will be darkened for a more exciting awards ceremony.

The last fish must be reported and received by the competition management no later than 4:00 PM. Please note that there is a couple of minutes delay.

The measuring board must be submitted to Dragsö camping no later than 16:30. Later submission will result in disqualification.

The award ceremony will then take place at Dragsö Camping at approximately 16:45.

Fishy live is the competition's official app and should be used for all registration - each perch should be photographed and logged immediately upon capture.

GPS/location services are used in the competition to ensure that all competitors are within the competition area. Make sure the app has permission on your phone to send coordinates according to the app's settings, so that the catch gets the correct position linked to the registration.

If you have any problems or questions, please contact the competition management at tel. 0708612955 (David Berg) 0708738027 (Jordan Ericson)
