The measuring board should be placed flat and horizontal and the tail fin may be adjusted carefully with one/two fingers. but not compressed as the fish can be damaged, the fish should be placed carefully on the measuring board and the fish must not be pulled lengthwise. The fish may be held with one or, if necessary, two hands while the measurement and documentation are taking place.
When photographing, it must be clearly visible that the nose is against the edge (otherwise a 3 cm deduction is given) and that the length can be clearly determined.
If the total length is the same, the longest fish in order of turn decides.
