Randsfjordsdreggen Trolling competition.

Competition time:

Saturday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Sunday: 7:00 AM–1:00 PM

The award ceremony will be held at:

Sagvika, Odnes Sunday at 3 p.m.

Attendance at the award ceremony is mandatory in order to receive the award. 

Premiums are not sent. Unclaimed prizes will be carried over to the next prize distribution.

Registration and catch reporting:

- Registration takes place digitally through the Fishy Live app.

- All catch reporting is done through Fishy Live.

- The app is available for both iPhone (iOS) and Android.

- Participants can start fishing anywhere on the Randsfjord within the current fishing hours.

- The registration fee is not refunded under any circumstances.

Competition area:

The entire Randsfjord is your competition area. The participants can start fishing from the boat ramp or launch site they want.

Catching rules:

- Tellefisk in the competition are ørret and røye of 52 cm or larger.

- All trout under 50 cm shell are put back.

- All trout with adipose fins should always be put back, as this is a wild fish.

- Settefish over 50 cm can be observed.

- All char of 40 cm or larger shell are put back.

- We encourage all participants to practice Catch & Release as far as possible.

We also encourage all participants to send in pictures of all catches, including fish like yours under the minimum size, non-counting fish or other species. This contributes valuable information about the fish stocks in the Randsfjorden.

Allowed fishing:

- This is a pure trolling competition.

- Only trolling fishing is allowed, that is, fishing with gear behind or on the side of the boat while the boat is in motion.

- Fishing must take place at a speed of over 1 knot.

- Spin fishing, jig fishing or other fishing from a stationary boat is not allowed.

Electronic equipment:

- Use of ActiveTarget, LiveSight or other real-time display of fish is not permitted. You are allowed to have it mounted on the boat but must not be used 

- Normal sonar with 2D, DownScan and SideScan are allowed.

Boat launch:

It will be possible to launch and park boats at Sagvika.

There are also several other boat ramps and launch sites around the Randsfjorden. We recommend searching on Google to find the placement site that suits you best. And please contact the owner of these ramps before you use them.

We encourage everyone who has boats with them from waterways/fjords or who, like you, have been diagnosed with crayfish plague or other contagious diseases to disinfect their boats before setting them out on the Randsfjorden. Dry the boats well.

We have no authority or capacity to check if you disinfect, but we encourage everyone to do so if you are aware that something has been proven where you usually have your boats. 

Tyrifjorden and Steinsfjorden have proven crayfish plague.

Social gathering:

The social gathering starts on Saturday at 19.00 at Sagvika, Odnes.

- The organizer sets up a large tent.

- There is a toilet in the area.

- The organizer provides grills and barbecue litter.

- No food or drink will be served.

- Feel free to bring your own food and drink, something to sit on and possibly a small table.

It is not a requirement to participate in the social gathering, but we hope as many as possible will join. This is a great reason to get to know other trolling fishermen, share experiences and create a good environment around the competition.

Fair Play and responsibility:

- Cheating or breaking the rules results in disqualification.

- The organizer is not responsible for participants, boats, vehicles or equipment.

- All participants are responsible for their own safety and for following the applicable laws and regulations on Randsfjorden.

- The organizer reserves the right to change, postpone or cancel the competition if weather conditions or other circumstances make the arrangement untenable or unsafe to carry out.

The goal of the competition is to gather trolling fishermen for a nice and sporty weekend with a focus on good camaraderie, sustainable fishing and good nature experiences on the Randsfjord.
