Any rule violation leads to instant disqualification from the current season. No warnings, no exceptions. Every angler must follow 100% of their country's fishing laws, recommendations and the specific rules of the water they fish. If you are unsure, check before you cast.
CH. 01
How EPM works
● A team competition where anglers all over Europe measure up against each other.
● Fish wherever you want in Europe, catch pike, measure, photograph and upload.
● Your five longest pike — The Big 5 — decide your placement.
Teams & groups
● Register as a team of 1–3 people. Nobody may be part of more than one team.
● If a team member drops out during the competition that is OK, but a member may never be replaced.
● You may fish with people outside your team as long as you do not enter their fish.
● After registration closes all teams are drawn into random groups of max 25 teams. The top 3 teams of every group reach the final.
Registration
● The entry fee is 35 € per person. No starter package is sent this year.
● You can use an official EPM measure board from any previous season. New boards can be bought for 35 € while stock lasts.
● Register in time — the entry fee is non-refundable.
Where and how to fish
● Any European water where fishing for pike is allowed. No put & take waters.
● You must follow 100% of your country's fishing laws, recommendations and the rules of the specific water you fish.
● You are responsible for a valid fishing licence and any permits required by local authorities.
● No limits on platform — bank, boat, kayak or ice. Just follow the rules where you fish.
● Permitted methods: spin, jerkbait, pelagic, fly, jig/dropshot, trolling and deadbait. One active rod per person. No restrictions on electronics.
Catch & measure
● Minimum length is 70 cm. Pike are reported in full centimetres — 100.9 cm counts as 100 cm.
● You can use any official EPM measure board from a previous season. The board must be the EPM-branded board with the jaw stop and clear centimetre scale.
● Jaw to the left against the stop, belly down, mouth at zero. Never place the measuring device on top of the pike.
● Shoot from zero and upwards, not from the side. Unclear pictures can lose centimetres or be disqualified.
● Take one picture of the pike on the board showing your start number, and one picture of you holding the pike.
● Your current season start number must be visible on every measurement photo. You get the number at 08:00 CET when the competition starts. Write it on the board, on a piece of paper, or show it another clear way.
Reporting your catches
● All catches are reported in the free Fishy Live app using the code you get when you register.
● Upload the same day you catch the fish, or as soon as possible.
● A pike may only be registered once per team — no recaptures during qualifying.
● When reporting closes it is game over and no changes can be made.
Scoring & jury
● The total length of your five longest pike over 70 cm counts.
● Ties are decided by the longest single fish, then the second longest, and so on.
● Fewer than five pike is fine — you still compete with what you have.
● Results are provisional until the jury has reviewed them after the competition ends. The competition management always has the final say on a fish.
The final
● Finalists are presented shortly after qualifying ends.
● In the final, all measuring pictures must show your start number plus a prefix word released at 08:00 CET on day one.
● Otherwise the rules are identical to qualifying.
Fair play & safety
● Any rule break leads to immediate disqualification — no warnings, no exceptions.
● You must follow 100% of your country's fishing laws, recommendations and the rules of the water you fish. Ignorance is not an excuse.
● Deliberate cheating, false reports or tampered photos result in instant disqualification.
● Participants take part at their own risk; the organiser is not responsible for accidents or injuries. We always recommend life jackets.
● EPM reserves the right to use participants' catch images in its own marketing.
● By signing up you agree to these rules and regulations. This page can be updated until the competition starts.

European Pike Masters is a digital competition in which participants choose the country and waters where they fish. The organiser does not designate, provide access to, or approve any specific fishing waters.
Before and throughout the competition, each participant and team captain is responsible for:
● Checking and complying with all applicable laws and official regulations in the country and region where the fishing takes place.
● Holding valid fishing permits, licences and authorisations, including any specific permits required for competitive fishing.
● Obtaining permission from the fishing rights holder or water owner whenever required.
● Ensuring that competitive fishing, photography and measuring are permitted.
● Complying with local rules concerning, for example, closed seasons, minimum and maximum sizes, catch limits, protected areas and permitted fishing methods.
● Handling and releasing fish promptly and in a manner that minimises stress and injury.
Registration for the competition does not mean that the organiser has reviewed or approved the participant's choice of fishing waters. The acceptance of a catch in the competition's results system does not constitute confirmation that the fishing was permitted under applicable national or local regulations.
Catches resulting from unauthorised fishing or fishing conducted in breach of applicable regulations may be rejected. The organiser reserves the right to request supporting documentation and to disqualify any participant or team in the event of a suspected or confirmed violation.
Each participant is solely responsible for any fines, fees, damages, penalties or other consequences arising from their fishing activities or presence at the fishing location.
