Now we celebrate the Swedish Pike Champions 2025! It's only been a few hours since the Pike Championship 2025 was decided on Siljan in Dalarna. An exciting final, with 35 charged teams and with fishing that opened with some really nice pieces in the first hour.
Team North took it pretty quickly, Jan Eklund, Robin Gustavsson and Tommy Forsberg, the lead with an 85 and a magnificent fish of 115 cm for Robin who also became the competition's longest fish, rewarded with this awesome hand-carved pike made by Eagle Fishing's Anders Holm and his wife, you can see the prize below!

The lead changed several times during the day and the fishing became increasingly difficult. By dark at 1300, Team North was back in the lead after landing a 106 and a 75. Second at this time was Predator Fishing Scandinavia, Martin Wahlquist, Christian Wahlquist and Erik Segenstam, in third place we had Marbin Anglers, Martin Soffronow, Robin Ulvenstål Blomgren and Linus Skogh. None of the top teams had "full paper" at that time.
During the darkness, things happened, Team Predator Fishing Scandinavia managed to fill the paper and fished a nice 458 cm and was able to secure the victory! Big congratulations on your second SM-Gold in a row, an incredibly fine achievement.
In second place came Team Marbin Anglers, this team also deserves a little extra praise as they managed to fish a total of 435 cm and on top of that lost a lot of time after a sad grounding that completely knocked out the propeller of the main engine!
Third in this year's SM was Team Lots of Problems, Kenneth Söderberg, Gustav Nylander and Patrik Franzen who fished a nice 413 cm and with that were one of three teams that managed to catch a full catch, five fish, which says a lot about the fact that it was not easy to catch pike.

All prize winners, truly skilled anglers who excelled on this day!
Congratulations everyone, you fished incredibly well!

Daniel Hedberg from Eagle Fishing and Isabelle Wassberger from Sportfiskarnas secure the podium!
There are several people who should receive an extra round of applause for the implementation of this year's Swedish Championship, the gang behind EEagle Fishing Club with Daniel Hedberg, Anders Holm and others who put in a lot of time to make a good competition and who also had to fight with weather forecasts from “hell”. Ida Isoaho and Markus Axelsson who were judges during the competition together with Sportfiskarnas Ulf Godtman and Isabelle Wassberger and of course everyone who competed who had to change the competition day at short notice but still chose to participate, you are heroes!
