Rules (King of Kanalen / Prins of Kanalen - Street Perch Open 2024)

 • The 5 longest Perch total length is counted (min. measurement 35 cm).

 • Fishing is done only with hand gear.

 • Only artificial baits may be used, no live baits (i.e. NO worms, fish, maggots, etc.)

 • The fish is photographed against the C&R measuring board.

 • Only the official measuring board for this competition, which can be picked up at the Sportfiskegiganten store, is approved.

 • Fishing only in Malmö Canal, Malmö and fishing from bridges is prohibited.

 • Reporting only via Fishy Live (app for Android/Iphone), only pictures taken via fishy's photo system are approved.

 • The fish may not be "stretched", however the tail fin may be adjusted. Only one hand on the fish, no fingers in the mouth.

 • The fish should be measured with the upper lip against the end with the mouth closed. The picture should be taken from above so that the fish and markings can be clearly seen. The measuring board should have a clear end.

 • The tail fin may be brought together.

 • Unclear pictures will NOT be accepted so please be careful with this! Please note that it is important that you take clear pictures of the fish as unclear pictures will mean that the fish will not be included in the competition.

 • In the event of an exact tie, the first reported longest fish will be the deciding fish.

 • Photo against the competition's measuring board where the length is clearly visible.

 • The fish is measured only in whole cm, rounded down.

 • No hands in front of the fish's gills.

 • The competition controller determines whether the fish has an approved measurement image and posing image for the competition.

 • Caught fish must be reported immediately.

 • No fish caught before the start of the competition will count.

 • Location services must be turned on in the app during the competition and when taking photos of the catch in order for the fishermen to be approved! This is to avoid cheating!

 • Any protests must be submitted to the competition management no later than 1 hour after the end of the competition.

 • All decisions from the competition management are final.

 • The competition organizers reserve the right to use participants' captured images for their own use.

. Mishooked fish may not be reported. If the hook is not in the mouth, the fish is mishooked and therefore does not count.

. You should not "lend" a fish to your friend because he/she will get a better result.

. It is completely free to join if you are 16 years old or younger, but you must register before January 1 if you turn 17 in 2025.

Rules can be changed and/or time added at any time if the competition management finds it appropriate.
